This is part of the railway that was built to support construction for the Hoover Dam. It provided a method to get men, machinery, supplies and equipment from the rail terminal in Las Vegas to the construction area.
Numerous Static / Non-working displays of railroad equipment including a railroad mail car showing how the mail was sorted while underway.
The museum’s train ride is a scenic 45-minute round trip of 7 miles, which follows a portion of the old Boulder Branch Line, built in 1931 during the construction of Hoover Dam.
