When traveling with pets, even around town locally or long distance for vacation, you will want to protect your precious little friend. You might think strapping them in is cruel but in reality in the event of an accident, like seat belts, it might be what says them from even more injury or death.

During a roll over or other major event, your dog or cat will be tossed around like a sock in a clothes dryer. Do you want that to happen? I am positive you do not. So you are not being mean to your precious cargo but you are protecting them.
The restraints and carrier systems for small dogs/cats will differ greatly. I will break down options in the subsections for each but in general here are the major groupings.
