With over 100 interactive exhibits in science, arts and culture spread over two floors of fun, Lied Discovery Children’s Museum is Las Vegas’ favorite family destination!
The first floor features exhibits about the arts and humanities and provides opportunities for imaginary and dramatic play, the use of a wide range of motor skills, and group problem-solving and cooperative activities. This floor is dedicated to children who are branching out and exploring their surrounding, yet not able to read. These exhibits are more intuitive by design, and so it isn’t necessary for children to be able to read for them to enjoy themselves and learn in these exciting exhibits.
The second floor is geared toward elementary aged children and features exhibits about science, communication, and technology and provides opportunities for exploration, observation, cooperation, and critical thinking. On this level many of the exhibits require a child to read and discover for themselves these scientific and technological concepts and the questions that arise from the experience.
You can witness science experiments in Einstein’s Corner, be a radio DJ, play a laser harp, experience wheelchair basketball, launch a tennis ball into the sky, trick your eyes, enter into a hurricane, learn about food and nutrition and so much more!
