Buckles and Barrels for Bailey is an annual barrel race held at the South Point Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, NV. We raised over $48,000 in five years and donated it to the Spring Valley Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. We were able to help with continuing education, remodeling the parents room and waiting room, purchasing educational reference material and supplies for the unit. Because of Bailey now has an approved 501c.3 and all donations are tax deductible.
November 17-20, 2011 our family hosted the first annual Buckles and Barrels for Bailey benefit barrel race at the South Point Casino Equestrian Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. All proceeds from this race went to the Las Vegas Spring Valley Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit that saved our daughter Bailey’s life.
Since that first event we have raised over $48,000. This money has been placed in the Bailey Rae Stevens Scholarship Fund for continuing educations costs for the nurses that work in the Las Vegas Spring Valley Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and for renovations to the waiting room and parents’ room.
In 2016, Because of Bailey was formed with the goal of helping families with sick and terminally ill children with travel expenses, medical bills and special needs equipment. Because of Bailey has an approved 501c.3 and all donations to our cause is tax deductible.
Buckles and Barrels for Bailey – Round 7, is scheduled for August 31 – September 2, 2018 at the South Point Equestrian Center. This event will continue to grow and with your help 2018 can be an even greater success.
Event sponsors will be provided arena space for their banners, their logo will appear on the jumbotron during each drag (drag every 5 riders, between 50 and 100 times a day depending on number of entries), in all event advertising and each sponsor will receive promotion on the event website. Our sponsor slideshow is broadcast throughout the casino and into the hotel rooms. We will also be having a live webcast with national viewing. All donations are tax deductible through Because of Bailey, our 501c.3.
With your help, we can continue to expand this event and make a difference in the lives of hundreds of families who find themselves in the neonatal intensive care unit each year.
