Nelson Hills OHV Trails

Beautiful desert scenery surround an area with numerous steep and challenging hill climbs, twisting rock formations and laced with small canyons and the occasional dry river wash. Not recommended for a new rider but acceptable terrain is available for the intermediate and experienced. This can be a fun place to explore and experience that is close enough to Las Vegas Metro to be home by dinner. There are NO services or support available so you will want to being with gas, food, water and shade.

Please only use existing trails and do not create new ones. The desert vegetation in the area is delicate and needs to be protected. Uniformed/Armed patrols are known to be in the area to enforce Nevada OHV laws and regulations.

Please be mindful, that once you leave NV165, the 1st 3/4 to 1 mile of the surrounding hills are privately owned and NOT open to off-road use. To prevent the area from being closed, please wait until you get to the trail heads to leave the pathways.
