Located in the center of the mining town of Eureka will feel like you have stepped back 150 years in time. The feeling brought to bear as your approach the Jackson House Hotel. The Jackson House Hotel’s exterior exults an opulent red brick exterior highlighted by white trimmed windows and doors, while inside the Hotel’s 9 luxurious room it is rumored that the paranormal is busy at work.
Featured in major TV productions known for paranormal investigations, some of the Jackson House Hotel’s visitors have reported messages on mirrors, the feelings of being ‘watched’ when no one was around plus other oddly abnormal events.
The two most haunted locations are the hotel’s bar and the Jackson Suite. So being a believer or not, you should stop in the bar for a cool beverage on a hot day and book a night in the Jackson Suite to rest up for tomorrow’s adventures. Well, rest as best you can – if you can.
The property while being a historic location helps keep the frontier spirit alive with some modern conveniences left out of the amenities. There is no pool on site, no pets allowed in rooms and if you want to post your haunted nights stay to social media, you will have to do it elsewhere as wireless internet is not available. Guests can make arrangements for these services from the near by Eureka Gold County Inn, a five minute walk away.
The Jackson House Hotel is only open March to September and offers discounts for being members of AAA, AARP, Federal and State Government and discounts for employees of some corporations.
