The Las Vegas Bowl

Held every December since 1992, the Las Vegas Bowl has boasted sold-out attendance for eight of the last 13 years at Sam Boyd Stadium, including the second-largest team sporting event crowd in state history of 42,213 people in 2015.

The Las Vegas Bowl will be heard throughout the country and overseas by Sports USA and along the American Forces Radio Network.

In May of 2001, the Las Vegas Bowl was acquired by ESPN Regional Television (ERT) — now known as ESPN Events, a subsidiary of ESPN, Inc. As part of the agreement, ESPN Events assumed responsibility for the Las Vegas Bowl’s organization, operation, sponsorship, marketing efforts and more.

In 2014, the bowl announced that it had agreed to extend its contract with both the Pac-12 Conference (sixth selection) and Mountain West (first selection) through the 2019 season. The two regional rival leagues have been facing each other in the game on an annual basis since 2001.
