Activities and Events:

  • Cave Rock Boat Launch
    The entrance is on Highway 50, three miles south of Glenbrook, just south of the Cave Rock tunnels.
  • Lahontan State Recreation Area
    located on the Carson River, 18 miles west of Fallon and 45 miles east of Carson City via U.S. 50. The park is open year-round and can be accessed from several entrances off U.S. 50 east of Silver Springs, and from an entrance off U.S. 95A, south of Silver Springs via Fir Avenue.   • South Fork State Recreation Area
    353 Lower South Fork #8; Spring Creek, Nevada 89815. Located 16 miles south of Elko on State Route 228, the park is open year-round, but access may be hampered by snow during the winter months.
  • Berlin-Ichthyosaur State Park
    The park is located 23 miles east of Gabbs on State Route 844. The park is open all year, but winter travel may be prohibitive due to snow. Mailing: HC 61 Box 61200 Austin, Nevada 89310
  • Washoe Lake State Park
    Washoe Lake State Park is 18 miles south of Reno and five miles north of Carson City. Travel on U.S. 395, take the Eastlake Boulevard Exit and park entrances are on the west side of Eastlake Boulevard.
  • Beaver Dam State Park
    Beaver Dam is located six miles north of Caliente on U.S. 93, then 28 miles east on a graded gravel road. The park is open all year, but travel may be hampered in the winter. Mailing: P.O. Box 176, Panaca, NV 89042
  • Sand Harbor Park/Beach
    mailing: PO Box 6116, Incline Village, NV 89452. Sand Harbor is three miles south of Incline Village on State route 28.
  • Mormon Station State Historic Park
    Mailing: PO Box 302; Genoa, Nevada 89411. Located in the small town of Genoa, 12 miles south of Carson City via U.S. 395 and State Route 206.
  • Spring Mountain Ranch State Park
    Mailing: PO Box 124, Blue Diamond, Nevada 89004. Use Charleston Blvd, west from Las Vegas, past Red Rock Canyon another 5 miles to entrance on right.
  • Big Bend of the Colorado
    The park is within the Laughlin town limits, one mile south of Casino Drive on South Needles Highway.
  • Cathedral Gorge State Park
    Mailing: PO Box 176, Panaca, Nevada 89042. The park and visitor center is located 2.5 hours north of Las Vegas on Hwy 93, 1.5 west of Cedar City, Utah (UT 56W to NV 319W to US 93N) and 1.5 northeast of St. George, Utah (UT18N to UT 56W to NV 319W to US 93N)
  • Dayton State Park
    Dayton State Park is located on U.S. 50, 12 miles east of Carson City. Mailing Address: P.O Box 1478, Dayton, Nevada 89403
  • Cave Lake State Park
    The park is eight miles south of Ely on U.S. 93, turning onto Success Summit road (State route 486) and continuing east for seven miles. Mailing: P.O. Box 151761 Ely, Nevada 89315
  • Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort
    The Old Las Vegas Mormon Fort is located in downtown Las Vegas, at the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Washington Avenue. Mailing & Physical: 500 E. Washington Ave.; Las Vegas, NV 89101
  • Rye Patch State Recreation Area
    Located 22 miles north of Lovelock and 50 miles southwest of Winnemucca, Exit 129 will take you to the main park entrance, dam and campgrounds. Ranger Station and Address; 2505 Rye Patch Reservoir Road, Lovelock, Nevada 89419
  • Spooner Backcountry - Tahoe Area activities
    Ranger Station Mailing: PO Box 6116, Incline Village, Nevada. The Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park Backcountry is a widespread recreational and natural oasis. Spooner Lake, at the intersection of State Route 28 and U.S. 50.
  • Spring Valley State Park
    The park is located 20 miles east of Pioche via State Route 322. Spring Valley State Park is open all year, although snow may make winter access difficult.
